I have been described as a living-life-to-the-fullest, creative, and passionate woman. I love to laugh, “let my hair down” often, and have fun whenever an opportunity presents itself. I am up for trying most things at least once. I firmly believe that you don’t know what you like until you give something an honest go. I am proud to say, more often than not, the experiences I engage in end up being something I am truly happy to have test-driven for myself!
So what is my fascination with cotton candy and sweet treats all about? It all started when I was a very young child. I came from a family where sweet treats were a rarity. I remember my mother coming home from the market with one glass bottle of soda. Even though all of my siblings and I wanted a bottle of our very own, we knew the ritual. We would gather our cups and measure the soda equally among us all before anyone took the first sip. Because sweets were not an everyday occurrence in my life, my fondest memories are of having access to them at unique events such as the circus, carnival, or in celebration of the end of a long school year, which meant the beginning of a summer of freedom.
Cotton candy, in particular, holds a distinct place in my childhood memory bank. I remember seeing vendors touting huge mounds of fluffy, multi-colored clouds on a single stick. I would think to myself, those must be so heavy. How do they carry them all at once? But when I first got my own cotton candy cloud, I remember how light it was, how insanely sweet it tasted as it dissolved on my tongue, and how sticky my hands were as I tried to devour the entire cloud of fluff all by myself. I instantly fell in love with this sweet treat!
It was the remembrance of these sweet moments, combined with my passion for creating events that would live on in the memories of guests for a lifetime that Sweetistry Cotton Candy & Event Treats was born. I am looking forward to helping you create sweet memories for your next event!
